To register a new AmeriFlux site
Download the BADM-Site_General_Info Standards File (MS Excel) here.
Complete the file:
Enter current site information on the Site_General_Info tab in the file.
For variables that have a predefined list, see the LIST(Vocabulary) tab.

Do not enter REFERENCES variables in the file. After registration is complete, references for the site should be uploaded via the “Add Publication” button at the bottom of your Site Info page (Login required).
Upload the completed file via the Upload Data page using the BADM option (login required). Tip: Select the box for “I do not have a site ID”.
Review the Data Policy under which your data submitted to AmeriFlux will be shared. Be prepared to select either the AmeriFlux CC-BY-4.0 License or the AmeriFlux Legacy Data Policy when an AmeriFlux Management Project team member contacts you. The CC-BY-4.0 license is recommended.
***Once a site is registered, update Site General Info BADM using the online editor (click button above to see instructions).
To submit BADM using an online editor
Access the online editors on your site’s Site Info page, BADM tab:
The following types and groups of BADM are submitted via online BADM editors:
Site General Information: Location, IGBP, Average Climate, Site Characteristics, Team Members
DOI Contributors: Author information and ordering for DOI
To submit BADM using a CSV reporting file
BADM can be submitted in CSV file format; one BADM group per file. BADM for multiple sites can be submitted together in the same file.
