Land-Atmosphere Interactions: Integrating surface flux and atmospheric boundary layer measurements

Remember 2021? That was the year that a virtual workshop on Land-Atmosphere interactions was held by an interdisciplinary team of researchers, to build connections between research silos of those who study features of the land surface, surface fluxes, atmospheric boundary layer growth and thermodynamics, and atmospheric composition and aerosols. The agenda and recorded talks from this workshop are still available.

Now a Special Issue in Agricultural and Forest Meteorology has been published, that works towards integrating research across the soil-vegetation-atmosphere continuum. Thanks to all colleagues who submitted their papers to advance interdisciplinarity! You can find the complete issue here. Furthermore, the workshop organizers summarized their takeaways in this commentary paper. Happy reading!
