Ecosystem Scientist Position Available at HydroFocus, Inc., Davis, CA
HydroFocus, Inc. seeks to hire an Ecosystem Scientist. We are looking for someone with a graduate degree in biology, ecology, biometeorology, earth sciences, or related field. The ideal candidate will have experience with analysis of remote sensing data, measuring greenhouse gas emissions and exchange using micro-meteorological methods and chambers, analysis of soil and water biogeochemical processes and modeling of ecosystem processes affecting greenhouse gas fluxes.
Established in 1998, and located in Davis, CA, HydroFocus’ work has been primarily in hydrology and biogeochemistry. We are also actively engaged in wetland restoration, development of greenhouse gas emissions reduction strategies and the carbon market. Our clients and partners include local, state and federal agencies, landowners, public utilities, the American Carbon Registry, non-profit corporations and University of California researchers.
