This year’s AmeriFlux PI Meeting (January 29-30, 2015) was held jointly with the NACP PI Meeting. We had 128 registered participants, 48 posters, 3 vendors, 11 science talks, 6 breakout topics, a world cafe, a LIDAR demo (indoors—it was snowing outside), an “AmeriFlux Issues” hour, a “Doctor is In” booth, and an “Early Career Scientists” social. Phew! Though a busy program, the reviews coming in say all the activities were great—and next year “please make the meeting two days instead of a day and a half.”
Thanks to the organizing committee, Lianhong Gu, Marcy Litvak, Kim Novick, Sébastien Biraud and Marilyn Saarni, who thoughtfully put together this ambitious program. Also thanks to the speakers, the breakout leads and the World Cafe facilitators! All contributed to make this meeting a success!
Followup: Archives of Agenda and Poster Abstracts are now available at the NACP-sponsored meeting website. As soon as we receive permission from speakers, we will offer online presentations of the invited talks here on the AmeriFlux website. We’re in the process of tallying votes from the “Next Big Ideas” world cafe, and will post that blog shortly. Expect more updates!
