It has been 20 years since the official formation of the AmeriFlux network, and we are having a special session at ESA in Fort Lauderdale, FL to celebrate.

Grand Floridian Blrm G, Ft Lauderdale Convention Center
Description:
This two-hour special session celebrates 20 years of the AmeriFlux research network, with several invited talks highlighting major research findings and open discussion of big ideas for future directions, followed by refreshments. Dave Hollinger and I will start the session with the history and research accomplishments of the network over the past 20 years, then we pass it off to Steve Running as he has been a supporter from the modeling committee since nearly the beginning (guaranteed to entertain). Then Marcy Litvak will present ideas for the future. Refreshments will follow the first hour of talks.
