The Department of Geography and Atmospheric Science at The University of Kansas seeks a full time Research Assistant in support of the DOE funded Ameriflux sites. Job duties will include to collect, analyze and process data, including eddy covariance instrument calibration and maintenance, and vegetative and soil sample collection and analysis, statistical analysis and comparison of the data with the output from numerical models. Will require some travel to various field sites within the area. Required qualifications includes a Master’s degree in geography, atmospheric science, ecology or related field, scientific knowledge in eddy covariance station in training and/or work as evidenced in application materials and previous experience with computer models and statistical analysis as evidenced in application materials.
