We are hiring a 2-year post-doctoral position based at NASA GSFC in Greenbelt, MD, to contribute to an activity to produce low-latency greenhouse gas flux emissions and removals data for carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide by training a suite of Earth Observations data on outputs from atmospheric inversions using AI/ML approaches. The project is part of the Global Carbon Project’s 3rd REgional Carbon Cycle Assessment and Processes study (RECCAP3), see RECCAP2 https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/toc/10.1002/(ISSN)2169-8961.RECCAP2. Qualifications include motivation, excellent communication and writing skills, experience in programming (i.e., R, Python, bash, high-performance computing, & working with code management repositories), and ability to work with dynamic team as well as independently.
