We seek one recent Ph.D. to participate in the project to improve a land surface/ecosystem model (e.g., CLM-BGC, CLM-FATES) for better predicting the hydrologic and carbon cycles (CO2 and CH4) in the Korean wetlands. It is a collaborative project with other research groups at Yonsei Univ. and Seoul National Univ. for observational field studies. A postdoc will also participate in an international collaborative study to evaluate the performance of the Ent model over the globe.
Applicants should have a doctoral degree in environmental sciences, hydrology, geography, or related disciplines by the time of starting the position. The applicants should be able to demonstrate experience and proficiency in land and ecosystem modeling techniques.
The position is available immediately. The appointment is full-time for one year and may be renewed for up to three years upon performance and availability of funds. For further details, please contact Prof. Y Kim (yeonjoo.kim@yonsei.ac.kr) with a cover letter and CV.
