Check out the AmeriFlux Safety page. You can view any of the online Safety Training offerings listed. If you want to get an email confirmation that you’ve completed a training module, just provide your email address (the courses prompt for email addresses either at the beginning or at the end).
These training courses are developed by Lawrence Berkeley National Lab’s EH&S, and are clear, concise and easy to understand.
The AmeriFlux Tech Team is working on additional safety materials, including some sample safety plans for AmeriFlux sites. If you want to help with this effort—offer to review the prototypes, send your own AmeriFlux site’s safety plan or an in-house checklist that you find useful, or great photos of safely climbing towers, or clearing fire hazards (you can upload these now at the AmeriFlux Photo Gallery!)—email the Tech Team at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also catch Sébastien and Stephen at AGU Fall 2014; they’ll be at the ESD Booth #2309 in the Vendor Hall on Tuesday 12/16, 3-5pm.
